Kare was born with cerebral palsy, and started racing after she watched Hannah Cockroft win gold at London 2012. And at the age of just 14 she made her international debut at the 2015 World Championships in Doha where she won 2 bronze medals. This was followed by 2 silver medals at her first Paralympic games just a year later, coming 2nd behind her idol Hannah Cockroft.

She would go on to secure multiple World and European championships and medals, competing in the last 2 Olympics and being selected to represent Great Britain at the 2024 Paris games, where she hopes she can clinch the illusive gold medal.

In 2018 she was awarded the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year Award.

This summer she’ll be competing in the T34 100m and 800m.
