Trustee
Tony was the Disability Executive for BBC Sport for many years, looking after the multimedia disability coverage across Television, Radio and Online. Tony had responsibility to promote Paralympics and disability events, features and stories across the BBC.
Tony’s knowledge and experience of media and sport combined with his knowledge of disability provides great insight for the Board and supports the promotion of the charity and its work with young and newly disabled people.
Tony used to compete for GB in wheelchair table tennis and played at the World and European Championships but just missed out on being selected to participate at the Paralympics.
His love of sport led him to be Chairman of Charlton Athletic Disabled Supporters Association and he is a great Tennis, Cricket and Rugby fan. Most recently Tony has become involved with helping to develop wheelchair cricket combining two of his passions and helping to develop a new sport for disabled people.
