Shuna volunteered with Wheelchair Fencing for over 20 years, serving under a number of different roles. She joined as a coach, before serving as Chairman of the British Disabled Fencing Association for 8 years. Shuna has attended many International competitions including several Paralympic Games. In Rio 2016 she was Team Leader for Wheelchair Fencing.
In 2014 Shuna assisted with the IWAS World Junior Games at Stoke Mandeville, and later that year was awarded an MBE for services to Wheelchair Fencing. She currently sits on the International Development Committee for Wheelchair Fencing, and is an accredited UKAD Anti Doping Advisor.
Shuna works for Kent Fire & Rescue Service where she has responsibility for coordinating a multi-agency team working on Community Safety Projects. Prior to this she worked in management for Kent County Council, and has extensive knowledge of working in partnership.
Shuna was ordained in the Church of England in 2001 and in her spare time looks after 2 rural churches. She is governor of Brookland Primary School, and Chairman of Caring All Together Romney Marsh. She is married to a Sheep Farmer and lives on Romney Marsh.
