Robin has extensive experience in the field of international sponsorship, marketing and broadcasting having had a long career in advertising, promotions and public relations.
He then went on to establish a sports marketing and sponsorship consultancy and since retirement established a new business on his home on the Isle of Wight including launching Isle of Wight Day. Robin recently served as High Sheriff for the Isle of Wight.
Robin worked on bids with international sports organisations and countries for major sporting events including the Olympic and Paralympic Games. His connection with WheelPower came when his great friend, Mark Vestey, asked him to help raise funds to redevelop Stoke Mandeville Stadium. The Sporting Chance Appeal raised half of the £10.2 million project.
Robin has committed himself to the future of WheelPower as Chairman of Fundraising and Marketing using his vast skills and experience to help raise funds and promote the work of the charity.
Robin’s business experience and knowledge of sport as well as his contacts are a tremendous asset to the organisation.
